The Cinderella kingdom is welcoming some new subjects! On January 28, Joe Carroll will join the Broadway cast as Prince Topher, succeeding original star Santino Fontana, Todd Buonopane will replace original cast member Greg Hildreth as Jean-Michel, and Cinderella ensemble member Stephanie Gibson will succeed Marla Mindelle as stepsister Gabrielle. But wait, there’s more! Original star Victoria Clark will return to her Tony-nominated role of Marie, Ella’s fairy godmother, replacing current star Rebecca Luker on January 21.
Additionally, new ensemble members Jessica Hershberg, Callan Bergmann, Nathan Lucrezio, Jeff Pew and Kaitlyn Davidson will join the cast in January. The new stars join previously announced pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen (of “Call Me Maybe” fame) as Ella, succeeding Tony nominee and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner Laura Osnes. The Nanny favorite Fran Drescher will also join the production as Cinderella’s stepmother, Madame. Both new stars will begin performances February 4 at the Broadway Theatre.
