Roseland Is Closing But Everyone's Still Getting Naked! Broadway Bares Finds a New Home

When last year's news that Roseland Ballroom was getting razed made headlines, all the Broadway.com office could think and worry about was, "Where will all those Broadway chorus kids get naked?!" Worry no more... Broadway Bares has found a new home!

The 24th annual Broadway Bares will settle in at Hammerstein Ballroom located in the Manhattan Center on West 34th Street at 9:30PM and midnight on June 22. The sexy, near-naked fundraiser (created by Kinky Boots director Jerry Mitchell) that mixes burlesque and Broadway will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This year's event will be directed by frequent Bares stripper dancer Nick Kenkel, who clearly knows his stuff (see photo above or click here).

But you don't have to wait until June to see your favorite Broadway performers with their clothes off! On Sunday, January 26, you can enjoy the previously announced Broadway Bares: Winter Burlesque at XL Nightclub. Directed by Michael Lee Scott, this year's Winter Burlesque show is entitled Calendar Girl.
