Three-time Tony winner Glenn Close is set to return to the Great White Way this fall. She previously hinted to Broadway.com about the possibility and according to the Associated Press, Close revealed during an interview at the Sundance Film Festival that she was “not coming back in a musical" and instead would appear in a play.
Close divulged about the show: “The world that it is in is a world I know very well. It’s just a very complex play. It’s very challenging. It’s like somebody said, ‘A mountain of a play.’”
This production would be the first time Close has been seen on the Main Stem in 17 years. The six-time Oscar nominee got her start on Broadway, and won the Tony for her roles in Sunset Boulevard, The Real Thing and Death and the Maiden. Her film and TV roles include include Dangerous Liaisons, Air Force One, Fatal Attraction and Damages.
