For Broadway fans, waiting for the live performance of "Let It Go" by If/Then star Idina Menzel made the 2014 Academy Awards feel even longer than usual. Finally, at 11:10PM EST, presenter John Travolta took to the stage and finally introduced the "wickedly talented" star we were all waiting to see: Adele Dazeem.
WHAT? Wait, who? But there she was, standing center stage: the gloriously talented and gorgeous Menzel. Unphased, Menzel nailed "Let It Go," hitting every note that's made the song an international hit. The A-list Hollywood crowd was on its feet.
Thankfully, host Ellen DeGeneres fixed the snafu, thanking "Idina Menzel" for her stunning performance. And then "Let It Go" went on to win the Oscar for Best Song. And all was right with the world.
