Ben Daniels Lands Starz Series
Tony nominee Ben Daniels has boarded Starz’ Flesh and Bone. According to Variety, the House of Cards alum (he played Robin Wright's Brit lover) will star as the volatile and brilliant artistic director of a Big Apple ballet company. Daniels, who received a Tony nod for Les Liaisons Dangereuses, was last seen on Broadway in 2012's Don’t Dress for Dinner. Production will start on Flesh and Bone this spring and the series is set to debut in 2015.
Tony & Oscar Winner Jeremy Irons May Make an Appearance in One-Night-Only Godspell
"Day by Day" the upcoming one-night-only return of Stephen Schwartz Godspell to London for the first time since it premiered there 42 years ago, gets starrier. The charity gala performance at the Lyric Theatre May 19, hosted by the previously reported original star David Essex, will now also feature at the end of the evening his fellow cast members Marti Webb, Gay Soper, Tom Saffery, Deryk Parkin and Jacquie Ann Carr. The original John the Baptist, Tony and Oscar winner Jeremy Irons, might also turn up, although that's dependent on his filming schedule.
