Date Set for 2014 Tony Award Nominations Announcement

The announcement of the 2014 Tony Award nominations will take place on April 29 at the Paramount Hotel’s Diamond Horseshoe. The event will be broadcast live at TonyAwards.com.

The nominees will meet the press at a reception on April 30 and the nominees luncheon will take place on May 20. The 2014 Tony Honors cocktail reception, which celebrates the Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre, the Regional Theatre Award and the 2014 Special Award Recipients, will occur June 2. All these events will also be held at the Paramount.

As previously reported, the 2014 Tony Awards will broadcast live on CBS from Radio City Music Hall in New York City on June 8, hosted by Hugh Jackman. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Broadway productions must officially open by April 24 to be considered eligible for a 2014 Tony Award nomination.
