Lea Michele to Monkey Around in A.R. Rahman & Stephen Schwartz's New Bollywood Musical

Lea Michele is teaming up with Wicked’s Stephen Schwartz and Bombay Dreams’ A.R. Rahman, according to The Wrap. The Glee star is in negotiations to voice the role of Pinki in their animated film musical for Dreamworks, Bollywood Superstar Monkey.

Bollywood Superstar Monkey tells the tale of monkey brothers Deepu and Raj. When Raj accidentally wakes the 10-headed demon king Ravana from his enchanted sleep, Ravana kidnaps Bollywood superstar Chandani. The siblings team up with Chandani’s pet monkey Pinki to rescue the star and defeat Ravana.

With music by Rahman, who won two Oscars for his work on Slumdog Millionaire, and lyrics by Schwartz, the project features  a script by Gurinder Chadha and Paul Berges. Kevin Lina will direct
