Will Ryan Silverman Love Erin Davie & Emily Padgett For Who They Are?
Ryan Silverman and Charity Dawson will replace the previously announced Tony nominees Manoel Felciano and Keala Settle (who's currently in Les Miz) as Terry Connor and Fortune Teller respectively, in the upcoming production of Side Show at the Kennedy Center. The will join Erin Davie, Emily Padgett. Matthew Hydzik and David St. Louis, who all appeared in the production last year at La Jolla Playhouse. Henry Krieger and Bill Russell’s classic show will officially open on June 19.
Paul Chahidi, Anna Carteret and More to Appear in West End's Shakespeare in Love
450 years to the day since Shakespeare was born and the world is still in love with the bard. Broadway alums Paul Chahidi (Richard III/Twelfth Night) and Anna Carteret (An Ideal Husband) will join the previously announced Tom Bateman and Lucy Briggs-Owen in Lee Hall’s stage adaptation of Shakespeare in Love, based on the Oscar-winning screenplay by Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard. Chahidi will play Henslowe, Carteret will appear as Queen Elizabeth and the cast will also feature Ian Bartholomew as Tilney, Tony Bell as Ralph, David Ganley as Burbage, Richard Howard as Sir Robert De Lesseps, Harry Jardine as Sam, Abigail McKern as Nurse, David Oakes as Marlowe, Patrick Osborne as Mr Wabash, Alistair Petrie as Wessex, Doug Rao as Ned Alleyn, Ferdy Roberts as Fennyman and Colin Ryan as John Webster. The show will begin previews in the West End at the Noël Coward Theatre on July 2.
Forbidden Broadway Heads to London
Gerard Alessandrini’s Forbidden Broadway will play the Menier Chocolate Factory June 19 through August 16. Directed by Phillip George, New York’s longest running comedy revue will return to the London venue with brand new material.
How Could We Resist Them? New Cast Members for West End's Mamma Mia!
Here Mamma Mia! goes again! There will be a number of changes to the London production's cast from June 9. Rebecca Lock will be joining the cast as Rosie, Alasdair Harvey as Harry, Charles Daish as Bill, Alice Stokoe as Sophie Sheridan, Lloyd Green as Sky, Rosanna Bates as Ali, Brodie McBride as Lisa, James Alexander Gibbs as Pepper and James Alan-Evans as Eddie. Dianne Pilkington will continue to star as Donna Sheridan, with Kim Ismay as Tanya and Richard Trinder as Sam. At certain performances, the role of Donna Sheridan will be played by Shona White.
Broadway Inspirational Voices to Team Up With The New York Pops
Broadway Inspirational Voices, under the direction of Tony nominee Michael McElroy, will join The New York Pops as it marks its 31st birthday at Carnegie Hall. The gala evening, celebrating Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, will take place on April 28.
