The Vagina Monologues in English, Via Spanish
Los Monólogos de la Vagina, the Spanish language version of Eve Ensler’s notorious show, will make complimentary English translation headsets available to audience members from June 3. The production is playing at the Westside Theatre, where it opened on May 18. It is the first time that a mainstream off-Broadway theater has hosted an ongoing run of a commercial Spanish language play.
Our Town Will Have London Premiere
The Almeida Theatre’s fall season will include the London premiere of David Cromer’s acclaimed production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, which played off-Broadway 2009-10. The intimate, stripped back version of the classic play will run October 9 through November 29, with opening night set for October 17. The venue has a strong track record for transferring shows to the West End, most recently King Charles III.
