Get ready to "ooh" and "ahh" over the dazzling ladies and most dapper men of the 2014 Tony Awards, who wore the hell out of these dresses, suits, bangles and kinky boots on Broadway's biggest night. We’re shouting out the top five best-dressed ladies and three most stylish men who hit the red carpet at Radio City Music Hall! Do you agree with our ranking? Tell us in the comments below!
1. Idina Menzel
Best Leading Actress in a Musical nominee must be channeling Jessica Rabbit. We’ve never seen her this sexy—maybe If/Then inspired her to start her own double life! This dark red Zac Posen number is hot enough to melt any Frozen mountains, and her Forevermark earrings really steal the show.
2. Sutton Foster
Talk about pretty in pink! This Best Actress in a Musical nominee goes bare-faced and plainly dressed in Violet, but there’s nothing modest about this bold, summery look. With two wins and four additional nominations, Foster may be a Tony pro, but this is by far the most gorgeous look we’ve ever seen her rock on the red carpet.
3. Lena Hall
We won't confuse her for a man tonight—the newly minted Tony winner is all woman in this Zac Posen dress and bag, Manolo Blahnik shoes and yummy David Yurman jewelry. Contrary to her hard-rock persona in Hedwig, tonight she’s taking the stage looking like a sleek starlet. We’re glad she was careful on those steps when she climbed ‘em to accept her win!
4. Anika Noni Rose
This Best Featured Actress in a Play nominee could never shrivel up like A Raisin in the Sun—she’s simply stunning in her sheer cheetah print gown, with gold jewelry that shimmers against her flawless skin. Looking good, Disney princess!
5. Emmy Rossum
Less is more for presenter and Shameless star Emmy Rossum. Looking every bit as radiant a Tony Award herself, this dazzling presenter is draped in silver, and that ribbed bodice fits like a glove.
BONUS! SNAZZY TRIO OF DUDES
Orlando Bloom
A dark suit jacket with a snazzy bow tie is the winning style tonight! This former Romeo & Juliet star stole our hearts one more time tonight when he handed the Best Featured Actor in a Play Award to Mark Rylance. You can pick us up on that motorbike anytime—just make sure you rock the tux, and we’ll fight our parents for you any day.
RuPaul
RuPaul rarely makes a fashion misstep, and this year’s Tony Awards are no exception. He’s taking a red-carpet risk by wearing hot pink (please tell us someone snapped a photo of the drag legend and Foster together!) but if there’s anyone who can pull it off, it’s Ru.
Andy Karl
How thoughtful of this Best Actor in a Musical nominee to go all black so his sweetheart Orfeh’s dress will really pop! The Rocky headliner knocks this Kenneth Cole suit out of the park—side note, if he happens to get dragged into the ring, the blood stains wont show up, so that's always a plus.
