Scoring the lead in your high school play is a huge accomplishment—but winning the 2014 National High School Musical Theater “Jimmy” Awards is an entirely different galaxy. Insanely talented high schoolers Jai'Len Josey and Jonah Rawitz won top honors at the annual competition, held at Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre in New York City on June 30. After a five-day theater boot camp, 56 finalists competed to win $10,000 scholarships, which were presented to Josey and Rawitz at the end of the ceremony. The Jimmy Awards can open some major doors for young performers—after being discovered at last year's competition, 18-year-old standout Eva Noblezada is now playing Kim in the West End revival of Miss Saigon!
