Following an acclaimed run at London’s Menier Chocolate Factory, Gerard Alessandrini’s Forbidden Broadway will transfer to the West End. The show will play a limited engagement at the Vaudeville Theatre from September 9 through November 22. Opening night is set for September 15.
Christina Bianco, who has played in Forbidden Broadway: Goes to Rehab in New York, will join the cast. The YouTube star’s recent video of “Let It Go" has received over 5 million views. The Chocolate Factory cast transferring with the show includes Anna-Jane Casey, Damian Humbley and Ben Lewis.
This updated version of Forbidden Broadway features takes on productions from both Broadway and the West End, including The Book of Mormon, Once, Matilda, Wicked and Miss Saigon.
Under the direction of Phillip George, who also helmed the show in New York, Forbidden Broadway will feature music direction by Joel Fram, design by Morgan Large, lighting design by Nick Richings and sound design by Gareth Owen.
