Emma Stone in Talks (Again!) to Make Broadway Debut in Cabaret

Will Emma Stone star in Cabaret after all? A production spokesperson confirmed to Broadway.com that the actress is “in negotiations to make her Broadway debut as Sally Bowles in Cabaret on Broadway." 

Stone, who is best known for starring in the Amazing Spider-Man film series had initially been tapped for the production, but scheduling conflicts did not allow her to open the return of the Tony-winning revival. She would take over from current star Michelle Williams, who recently extended her stay in the Roundabout Theatre Company production through November 9. 

Cabaret, starring Tony and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner Alan Cumming, is scheduled to play Studio 54 through January 4, 2015. In addition to Williams and Cumming, the musical currently stars Bill Heck, Danny Burstein, Linda Emond, Aaron Krohn and Gayle Rankin.
