Four youngsters are ready to get “a little bit naughty” at the Shubert Theatre as the newest stars of Broadway’s Matilda. Tori Feinstein, Eliza Holland Madore, Brooklyn Shuck and Fina Strazza will alternate the titular role, beginning performances over the course of the next few weeks. The pint-sized stars take over for Paige Brady, Gabriella Pizzolo, Ripley Sobo and Ava Ulloa.
Feinstein and Strazza make their Broadway debut with the musical by Tim Minchin and Dennis Kelly. Feinstein has appeared on stage previously in How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Bright Star; Strazza’s stage credits include A Loss of Roses off-Broadway. Madore returns to the Great White Way after appearing in Once. Shuck’s theater credits include Annie on Broadway, as well as Beaches and Randy Newman’s Faust.
The cast of Matilda also includes Christopher Seiber as Miss Trunchbull, Jill Paice as Miss Honey, Lesli Margherita as Mrs. Wormwood, Matt Harrington as Mr. Wormwood and Karen Aldridge as Mrs. Phelps. Directed by Tony and Olivier Award winner Matthew Warchus, the musical follows Roald Dahl’s 1988 story about a girl who unleashes her magical powers on nasty parents and an evil headmistress.
