Kinky Boots’ Billy Porter and Orange is the New Black’s Laverne Cox will join the previously reported Patti LuPone and Sting in Uprising of Love: A Benefit Concert for Global Equality. The event will take place on September 15 at Broadway’s Gershwin Theatre. It's definitely sounding like quite the gathering.
World Premiere of Susan Stroman-Helmed Little Dancer Sets Cast
This new tuner could be one to watch. Boyd Gaines, Rebecca Luker, Tiler Peck and Karen Ziemba will star in the world premiere of Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty’s Little Dancer at the Kennedy Center’s Eisenhower Theater. The production will play October 25 through November 30, with opening night set for November 20. Directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman, the show is inspired by the young ballerina who posed for Edgar Degas and is set in the backstage world of the Paris Opera Ballet. The production will also feature Polly Baird, Wendi Bergamini, Lauren Blackman, Sophia Anne Caruso, Janet Dickinson, Juliet Doherty, Nina Goldman, Kyle Harris, Sean Martin Hingston, Jolina Javier, Michael X. Martin, Michael McCormick, James Pierce III, Jenny Powers, Katelyn Prominksi, Michele Ragusa, John Riddle, Amy Ruggiero, Joseph Simeone, Justin Urso and Lyrica Woodruff.

A.R.T. Finding Neverland star and Tony nominee Carolee Carmello is doing a Boston concert for Fudge Theatre Company on September 22. The evening will take place at the Mosesian Theatre at the Arsenal Center for the Arts.
