Things are about to get Real on Broadway! Screen stars Ewan McGregor and Maggie Gyllenhaal will both make their Main Stem debuts in The Real Thing. Cynthia Nixon, on the other hand, knows a thing or two about the 1982 drama by Tom Stoppard—she played Debbie in the original production. The trio joined star Josh Hamilton to greet the press on September 5 in New York City. Directed by Sam Gold, The Real Thing tells the story of Henry (McGregor), a successful playwright unhappily married to Charlotte (Nixon), who is starring in his newest play about a rocky marriage. Check out this photo of the starry quartet, then see them in The Real Thing beginning October 2 at the American Airlines Theatre!
