Dates Set for Emma Thompson to Bring London's Worst Pies Home
We now have dates for the English National Opera's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, A Musical Thriller, starring Emmy Thompson and Bryn Terfel. Lonny Price will direct the Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler classic, which will run March 30, 2015 through April 12 at the London Coliseum. Opening night is set for March 31. Can’t get on a plane to see them? Never fear, the pair’s version at Lincoln Center earlier this year was filmed and will air on PBS on September 26!
Cast Announced for Grand Concourse at Playwrights Horizons
Quincy Tyler Bernstine, Ismenia Mendes, Bobby Moreno and Lee Wilkof will feature in the previously reported world premiere production of Grand Concourse. Heidi Schreck’s show will be directed by Kip Fagan and play a limited engagement October 17 through November 30. The production will officially open on November 12 at Playwrights Horizons off-Broadway.
