Neil Patrick Harris will soon add another notch to his EGOT-hosting belt. The Tony and Emmy winner will emcee the 87th Academy Awards on February 22, 2015, Variety reports. Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the masterminds behind the upcoming Peter Pan Live! for NBC, will produce the ceremony for ABC for the third consecutive year.
Harris took home the 2014 Tony Award for his performance in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. He hosted the Tonys in 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2009, winning Emmys for all four years. He also has an Emmy for his guest stint on Glee, and hosted the ceremony in 2009 and 2013. Emceeing the Grammys can only be a matter of time. Harris’ additional Broadway credits include Assassins, Cabaret and Proof.
So, he's hosted the Tonys, then won a Tony, and has hosted the Emmys and has won multiple Emmys. Does this mean an Oscar's next? One more item to add to his bucket list!
