Tony winner Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife Vanessa Nadal expect to welcome their first child in early November. The composer and Freestyle Love Supreme member shared the news on Twitter, along with a onesie perfect for the newborn of a video game lover.
Miranda, who recently starred in City Center Encores!' tick, tick...BOOM!, won a Tony in 2008 for penning the score of In the Heights; he was also nominated for his performance in the musical. He also wrote the score to Bring it On and provided Spanish translations for the most recent West Side Story revival. He will star in the titular role in his new musical Hamilton off-Broadway beginning in January 2015.
Miranda and Nadal were married on September 5, 2010. In true Miranda fashion, he surprised his bride with a fully choreographed routine of “L’Chaim” from Fiddler on the Roof with their family and friends.
