Waiting For a Girl Like Her: Lauren Zakrin Makes Broadway Debut in Rock of Ages

The search is over, and Lauren Zakrin is finally making her Broadway bow! She steps into the role of Sherrie in Rock of Ages beginning November 3. Zakrin takes over for Carrie St. Louis at the Helen Hayes Theatre.

Zakrin was a finalist on the MTV reality show Legally Blonde: The Search for the Next Elle Woods. She was previously seen off-Broadway in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 and on tour in Legally Blonde, Grease and Wicked.

Featuring a score of such classic rock hits as "Here I Go Again," “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” and “Don’t Stop Believin’,” Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew, an aspiring rock star who moves to Los Angeles to make his dreams come true.

Beginning November 10, Frankie J. Grande will step into the role of Franz, replacing Cody Scott Lancaster. Justin Matthew Sargent will play Drew in place of an injured Constantine Maroulis through November 9. The current cast also includes Chester See, Genson Blimline, Adam Dannheisser, Josephine Rose Roberts, Paul Schoeffler Cody Scott Lancaster and Teresa Stanley.
