NBC is eyeing a live telecast of Aaron Sorkin’s play A Few Good Men. Variety reports that the Peacock network is in talks with the Oscar winner, who would update the show for the broadcast. Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, the masterminds behind ratings hit The Sound of Music Live! and the upcoming Peter Pan Live! are also working on the project.
A Few Good Men opened on Broadway in 1989 and was subsequently adapted into the Oscar-nominated 1992 movie starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore. The story follows the court-martial case against two Marines accused of murdering another serviceman and the tribulations of their lawyers as they prepare a case to defend their clients.
