It’s all happening for Lin-Manuel Miranda and his wife Vanessa Nadal-Miranda! The pair welcomed the newest addition to their family: a newborn baby boy. The Tony winner announced the arrival of Sebastian Miranda on November 10 via Twitter, in the style of a script’s stage directions (how else?), accompanied by an adorable photo. The two broke the news of Nadal-Miranda’s pregnancy with their first child in October.
Miranda, who recently starred in City Center Encores!' tick, tick...BOOM!, won a Tony in 2008 for penning the score of In the Heights; he was also nominated for his performance in the musical. He also wrote the score to Bring It On and provided Spanish translations for the most recent West Side Story revival. He will star in the titular role in his new musical Hamilton off-Broadway beginning in January 2015.
Congratulations to the new parents! Raising a child requires mucho paciencia y fe, and we’re thrilled for the two as they begin a new act together.
