Broadway lovebirds Colin Donnell and Patti Murin are engaged! The couple made the announcement on Twitter. Murin totally buried the lede, though; the Lysistrata Jones alum's tweet started with her professing her love for the new Annie movie. "You guys, I have some really big news to share!!" she wrote. "Ready??? I didn't hate the Annie movie at all. I actually liked it. #alsoigotengaged." No date for the big day has been announced.
Donnell has appeared on Broadway in Violet, Anything Goes and Jersey Boys. His other stage credits include Wicked, Mamma Mia!, Merrily We Roll Along and Follies. Murin appeared on Broadway in Lysistrata Jones and Xanadu, as well as the national tour of Wicked. The two starred in the Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park production of Love's Labour’s Lost together in 2013.
Congratulations, Colin and Patti! Maybe you two can have Quvenzhané Wallis sing “Opportunity” at the wedding?!
