Here's a quick roundup of stories you may have missed today.
Watch Teaser Trailer of Andy Mientus in The Flash
We have our first look of Andy Mientus in The CW's The Flash! Albeit not a very long look—you could say it goes by in a flash (sorry). Check it out in the teaser trailer below. We can’t wait to see the Les Miserables star and Smash alum in the upcoming eleventh and twelfth episodes of the series, where he plays Hartley Rathaway/Pied Piper, an openly gay villain with hearing loss.
New Guests Invited to Wedding
Danny Bernardy and Brandon Haagenson will begin performances in My Big Gay Italian Wedding this weekend as Andrew Polinski and Gregorio, respectively. They will remain with the off-Broadway comedy through the end of March.
Patrick Wilson Tapped for Fargo
Stage and screen star Patrick Wilson has boarded the cast of the second season of FX’s Fargo. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Tony nominee will play state trooper Lou Solverson. Wilson will be joining Kirsten Dunst, Ted Danson and more big names in the series. We're obviously thrilled that you'll be on our screens again, Mr. Wilson, but please can you return to Broadway soon? We've not seen you since All My Sons in 2009 and that was ages ago!
Tuck, Neverland & Rotten Casting Conundrum
This is an interesting casting switcheroo, stick with us. Beth Leavel is replacing Carolee Carmello halfway through Tuck Everlasting in Atlanta, which is playing a limited engagement January 21 through February 22 at the Alliance Theatre. Carmello is booked for Broadway’s Finding Neverland, which begins performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on March 15. Now, Leavel was in the workshop of the recently announced Something Rotten, which starts previews on March 23 at the Great White Way’s St. James Theatre—will she also be making a quick dash back to some Big Apple rehearsal rooms?
