Casting is now complete for the Broadway production of Finding Neverland. Teal Wicks (Jekyll & Hyde, Wicked) and more will join a company that includes the previously announced Matthew Morrison, Kelsey Grammer, Laura Michelle Kelly and Carolee Carmello. Performances will begin on March 15 at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.
Wicks will take on the role of Mary Barrie, a part that was played by Kinky Boots star Jeanna de Waal at the American Repertory Theatre run in 2014. Michael Llewelyn Davies will be portrayed by Alex Dreier, Hayden Signoretti and Noah Hinsdale; Jack Llewelyn Davies will be played by Hayden Signoretti, Christopher Paul Richards and Dreier; George Llewelyn Davies will be portrayed by Sawyer Nunes, Richards and Jackson Demott Hill, while Peter Llewelyn Davies will be played by Aidan Gemme, Richards and Hill. Dreier, Signoretti, Nunes and Gemme all appeared in the tuner at A.R.T.
The ensemble will include Courtney Balan, Dana Costello, Melanie Moore, Mary Page Nance, Emma Pfaeffle, Jessica Vosk, Colin Cunliffe, Chris Dwan, Rory Donovan, Josh Lamon, Jonathan Ritter, Tyley Ross, Julius Anthony Rubio, Paul Slade Smith, Ron Todorowski, Jaime Verazin, Kevin Kern and Fred Odgaard.
Directed by Diane Paulus and featuring a score by Gary Barlow and Eliot Kennedy and a book by James Graham, Finding Neverland follows the story of J.M. Barrie (Morrison) and his relationship with the family of widow Sylvia Llewelyn Davies (Kelly). Llewelyn Davies' children eventually became Barrie's inspiration to write Peter Pan. Opening night is set for April 15.
