Stage and screen darling Kristin Chenoweth made a visit to The View on January 20, during which time she and Rosie O’Donnell geeked out over Madeline Kahn. Chenoweth, who cites Kahn as her idol (and even named her dog after her), will channel the late actress in the upcoming Broadway revival of On the Twentieth Century as Lily Garland, the role Kahn received a Tony nomination for in 1978. “I’m hoping she’s proud of me,” Chenoweth said. The pint-sized soprano also has two film projects out this season, and they couldn’t be more different: the J-Lo thriller The Boy Next Door and the A Midsummer Night’s Dream inspired animated flick Strange Magic. Watch Cheno discuss her busy spring below, and catch her in On the Twentieth Century beginning February 12 at the American Airlines Theatre!
