Emma Watson Set for Beauty and the Beast
Well, we did know she was eyeing movie musicals, just not this one! Emma Watson has been tapped for Disney's live-action version of Beauty and the Beast. The Harry Potter star wrote on her Facebook page: “I will be playing Belle...It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I'll get to dance to 'Be Our Guest' and sing 'Something There.'” The film will be helmed by Dreamgirls and Side Show’s Bill Condon and is set to begin production in 2015. No release date has yet been scheduled. Now, who’s going to play the Beast? We can feel a dreamcasting coming on…
If/Then & Bullets Head to Hollywood
After a trickier time of it than expected on the Great White Way, If/Then and Bullets Over Broadway will soon be feeling some Hollywood love. Both tuners are slated for the Pantages Theater's 85th anniversary lineup. If/Then will play at the venue December 8 through January 3, 2016, while Bullets will run January 5, 2016 through January 24.
A View From the Bridge to be Broadcast
We are keeping our eye on this much buzzed-about show led by The Imitation Game’s Mark Strong. Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge will be broadcast internationally by National Theatre Live from the Wyndham’s Theatre in London’s West End on March 26. Encore screenings will follow. Jonathan Groff Teases Glee Return
Jonathan Groff may stop by Glee for a cameo on the hit Fox show’s final season. The Broadway alum and Frozen star told E! Online that his character “Jesse St. James might still pop up. You never know.” He's Lea Michele's bestie, how could he not?!
