Showtime Drops Santino Fontana Musical Series
Disappointing news for Broadway alums Santino Fontana (and Jessica Hersberg's fiance) and Donna Lynne Champlin, along with off-Broadway’s Vincent Rodriguez III—Showtime is not moving forward with their previously reported TV series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. According to Deadline, the pilot of Rachel Bloom’s half-hour musical comedy had some great moments but was deemed too risky to pick up. We're crossing all fingers and toes that we'll instead see the trio back treading the Big Apple's boards sometime soon.
