According to The Daily Mail, the Oscar winner is in talks to play Mrs. Potts in the Bill Condon-helmed movie musical. Theater Exhibition Set for London & New York
An exhibition celebrating theater will be shown at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum in February 2016 before transferring to the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts in September 2016. The New York Times writes that the exhibition is provisionally named Curtain Up! and will be designed by Tom Piper.
Stage Vet Sheridan Smith Tapped for The Huntsman
Two-time Olivier winner Sheridan Smith is set to star in The Huntsman, reports The Daily Mail. Chris Hemsworth, Emily Blunt and Charlize Theron will headline the movie, which is the sequel (without Kristin Stewart) to Snow White And The Huntsman.
Annie Potts' Family Fortune
Broadway alum Annie Potts (Pippin, God of Carnage) is in demand—as well as leading a tour of Ann next year, she has been tapped to soon appear in ABC’s comedy pilot Family Fortune. According to Deadline, the show, executive produced by Tina Fey, Matt Hubbard and Robert Carlock, will follow a well-liked gym coach (Fortune Feimster), who comes out of the closet. Potts will take on the role of her Mom.
