Sutton Foster, Alan Cumming & Kelli O'Hara Set for Pops
Broadway vets Sutton Foster, Alan Cumming, Kelli O’Hara, Bebe Neuwirth, Donna Murphy and Rachel York will headline a gala concert at Carnegie Hall on May 4. Under the baton of music director Steven Reineke, the previously reported tribute performance will mark the New York Pops' 32nd birthday and highlight the work of supremely talented siblings Kathleen Marshall and Rob Marshall. Casting Announced for Roald Dahl's The Twits
We're keeping a close eye on this stage adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic The Twits. Not only is Matilda still running in both the West End and on Broadway, but the writer and director of the new production picked up Tonys for their work on Once. Helmed by John Tiffany and penned by Enda Walsh, we now know that the show will star Jason Watkins and Monica Dolan as Mr. and Mrs. Twit, respectively, with Sam Cox as Yorkshire Terrier Man, Cait Davis as Monkey Mum, Aimée-Ffion Edwards as Monkey Daughter, Christine Entwisle as Tattooed Fortune Teller Lady, Oliver Llewellyn-Jenkins as Monkey Son, Glyn Pritchard as Monkey Father and Dwane Walcott as Shy Waltzer Boy. The Twits will play a limited engagement April 7 through May 31 at the Royal Court.
London Loves Bad Jews
London can't get enough of Bad Jews! After a limited engagement at the St. James Theatre, Joshua Harmon’s hit off-Broadway play will transfer to the Arts Theatre. The Theatre Royal Bath production will run March 18 through May 30, with opening night set for March 25.
Big Brother Alum Tapped for Funeral
Alex Coladonato will take on the role of Ezio in the off-Broadway comedy My Big Gay Italian Funeral, opposite creator Anthony J. Wilkinson. Best known for his stint on CBS’ Big Brother, Coladonato will be making his official acting debut in the production on March 15 at St. Luke's Theatre.
