This sounds like perfect casting to us! Josh Gad is in final talks to appear in Disney’s upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Tony nominee and Frozen star will take on the role of Lefou, the bumbling companion to Luke Evans' villain Gaston.
Gad, whose film career has taken off with credits including Frozen, Jobs and Wish I Was Here, received a Tony nod for his breakout performance as Elder Cunningham in The Book of Mormon. He will next be seen on screen in Pixels.
The cast also includes Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast/Prince. Emma Thompson is in negotiation to appear as Mrs. Potts.
