American Sniper star Sienna Miller, currently winning critical acclaim as Sally Bowles in Cabaret, is eyeing a return to Broadway sooner rather than later. According to Showbiz 411, she may come back in spring 2016 in an as yet unidentified project. How perfectly marvelous!
Transatlantic Honor Bestowed
Pulitzer Prize finalist Stephen Karam (Sons of the Prophet) and Zinnie Harris (A Doll’s House) are the U.S. and U.K. recipients, respectively, of the second Berwin Lee Playwrights Award. Created to foster and promote the craft of playwriting on both sides of the Pond, the pair will each receive $25,000. Congrats to both!
Special Olivier Award Announced
Sylvie Guillem, one of the world’s most celebrated dancers, will be presented with a Special Award at the 2015 Oliviers on April 12 at London’s Royal Opera House. The gong celebrates Guillem’s many achievements over the course of her 39 year career, over which she has performed all the leading roles of the classical repertoire with companies including The Royal Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet, Kirov Ballet, Tokyo Ballet and American Ballet Theatre.
