Peter Parnell’s Dada Woof Papa Hot and the world premiere of Abe Koogler’s Kill Floor are on tap for Lincoln Center Theater’s fall 2015 lineup. Dada Woof Papa Hot, directed by Scott Ellis, will begin on October 15 and open on November 9 at off-Broadway’s Mitzi E. Newhouse Theatre. Lila Neugebauer will helm Kill Floor, which will begin off-Broadway on October 3 at the Claire Tow Theatre. Opening night is set for October 19.
Dada Woof Papa Hot explores the challenges of gay parenting, and questions if there’s anything fundamentally different about being a gay father. The play follows an older married couple—Alan and Rob—as they raise their three-year-old daughter Nicola. Meanwhile, Alan deals with an attraction to a younger gay dad and watches as his straight friend’s marriage collapses.
Kill Floor marks Koogler’s professional debut and follows Andy, an ex-con who returns home to take a job at a slaughterhouse as she attempts a reconciliation with her 15-year-old son.
Further information for both plays, including casting and design teams, will be announced at a later date.
