Game Of Thrones star Ciaran Hinds, Tony winner Jim Norton (The Seafarer) and more have been tapped to appear opposite the previously reported Benedict Cumberbatch in Hamlet. Directed by Lyndsey Turner, the limited engagement at London’s Barbican’s Theatre will run August 5 through October 31. Opening night is set for August 25.
Joining Cumberbatch as the sweet prince, Hinds as Claudius and Norton as Polonius will be Anastasia Hille (The Effect) as Gertrude, Sian Brooke (Tartuffe) as Ophelia, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Edward II) as Laertes and Leo Bill (the upcoming Light Shining in Buckinghamshire) as Horatio.
The production will feature set design by Es Devlin, costume designs by Katrina Lindsay, video by Luke Halls, lighting by Jane Cox, music by Jon Hopkins, sound by Chris Shutt and movement by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
