Broadway Fave Andrew Rannells to Pen Comedy for Judd Apatow and Universal Pictures

Broadway fave Andrew Rannells and Jersey Boys movie castmember Mike Doyle have teamed up to write an untitled comedy. According to Deadline, Judd Apatow will produce the project for Universal Pictures. No word yet on what the comedy will be about, but apparently Rannells may star in it.

Rannells most recently appeared on Broadway headlining Hedwig. He received a Tony nod for his performance as Elder Price in The Book of Mormon; additional Great White Way credits include Jersey Boys and Hairspray. On screen credits include Girls, The New Normal, The Intern and Bachelorette. Doyle's additional screen appearances include The Advocate, The Invitation and the upcoming Max Steel.
