According to the AP, mega-producer Kevin McCollum, whose Broadway credits include the current Tony nominees Something Rotten! and Hand to God, is looking to make a musical of the film in partnership with 20th Century Fox.
Meryl Streep earned her 14th Oscar nomination for her portrayal of icy tastemaker Miranda Priestly in the film adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's novel. The comedy follows Andrea Sachs, a recent college grad played by Grounded’s Anne Hathaway, who gets a highly sought after position as the co-assistant to Priestly, a powerful and demanding fashion magazine editor. The movie also featured Broadway veterans Tracie Thoms and Stanley Tucci.
No word yet on creative team, timing or theater, but we are clearly already dreamcasting.
