Hedwig Star Darren Criss is an Audience Choice Award Winner & a Terrible Makeup Artist

Darren Criss may be a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award-winning Hedwig, but one thing he’s not? A gifted makeup designer. The latest Hedwig and the Angry Inch headliner traded in his pumps for a glue stick and brush as he provided his very own makeup tutorial to Billboard. However, as Criss observes, the final product is less transgender rock goddess and more Italian opera buffone…who’s missing an eyebrow…and has a soul patch. At least he can sing and look fabulous while doing it. You can catch Criss (in makeup done by a professional, thankfully) at the Belasco Theatre through July 19.
