Steven Pasquale Set for Ryan Murphy's O.J. Simpson Series
Steven Pasquale has been tapped by Ryan Murphy for the first season of his American Crime Story, People v. O.J. Simpson. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the stage fave will play former detective Mark Fuhrman, who eventually got convicted for perjury, in the show. Pasquale was recently seen in the acclaimed Lyric Opera production of Carousel (which we’ve decided must come to Broadway); he last appeared on the Great White Way in The Bridges of Madison County. Pasquale's career certainly isn't fading away.
Betty Buckley's Busy Month
Betty Buckley is having a manic May! While she's in the Big Apple for her previously reported Joe's Pub gig, the Tony winner will lead a Song/Monologue Interpretation Five Day Workshop at the Terry Schreiber School May 18 through May 22. Who better to learn from than the "Voice of Broadway?"
Laura Benanti & Laurence Fishburne Team Up
Tony winners Laura Benanti and Laurence Fishburne, along with On Your Feet’s Gloria Estefan and more, will appear at this year’s National Memorial Day Concert. Broadcast live on PBS from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol on May 24, the event for American heroes is set to be co-hosted by Tony winner Joe Mantegna and Broadway vet and Emmy winner Gary Sinise.

Glee creator Ryan Murphy is also continuing his small screen domination with the upcoming killer comedy-horror series Scream Queens, starring Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis. As previously reported, the first season is set in a sorority house at a college where a number of murders have taken place and will feature Broadway alums including Lea Michele, Nick Jonas, Abigail Breslin, Ariana Grande and Keke Palmer.
