The New York Pops’ 2015-16 concert season is getting starrier by the second! It Shoulda Been You’s Sierra Boggess and Broadway favorites Jeremy Jordan, Steven Pasquale and Betsy Wolfe have been tapped to appear as soloists. The series of five concerts begins with My Favorite Things: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein, featuring Boggess and Pasquale, on October 9. Jordan and Wolfe will appear in 42nd on 57th: Broadway Today on March 11, 2016. Both concerts will be held at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.
As previously announced, the New York Pops’ 2015-16 season also includes It’s Christmas Time in the City starring Tony nominee Stephanie J. Block and Something Rotten! star Brian d’Arcy James on December 18 and 19 at the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage; Sophisticated Ladies starring Tony nominee Montego Glover and Newsies alum Capathia Jenkins and recording artist Sy Smith on November 13 at Carnegie Hall; and Lights, Camera Action, a tribute to Steven Spielberg and John Williams, on April 8, 2016 at the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage.
Boggess recently won a Broadway.com Audience Choice Award for Favorite Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance in It Shoulda Been You. Her additional Broadway credits include The Phantom of the Opera, The Little Mermaid and Master Class. Jordan garnered a Tony nomination for Newsies and has appeared in Rock of Ages, West Side Story and Bonnie and Clyde. Pasquale has appeared on Broadway in The Bridges of Madison County and Reasons to Be Pretty. Wolfe’s Broadway credits include Bullets Over Broadway, Everyday Rapture and The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
