Christian Slater Set for Spamalot
Stage and screen star Christian Slater has boarded the cast of Monty Python's Spamalot at the Hollywood Bowl, starring the previously reported Eric Idle, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and more. Slater, who was last seen on Broadway in 2005’s The Glass Menagerie, will play Sir Galahad in the tuner, the role originally played on the Great White Way by Christopher Sieber. California will be looking on the bright side of life on July 31, August 1 and August 2!
Watch Julie Taymor's A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Tony winner Julie Taymor’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is coming to a movie theater near you from June 22! The adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic by The Lion King director, stars Tina Benko (The Avengers) as Titania, Max Casella (Blue Jasmine) as Nick Bottom, David Harewood (Homeland) as Oberon and Kathryn Hunter (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) as Puck, and was filmed in 2014 at the Theatre for a New Audience's Polonsky Shakespeare Center in Brooklyn. Brian d'Arcy James & Christian Borle Get Their Tap On
The cast of Something Rotten! will of course be performing on the Tony telecast THIS Sunday, however headliners Christian Borle and Brian Brian d’Arcy James stopped by The View on June 5 to talk about the show and provide a sneak peek of their tap dancing skills.
