Anna Kendrick & Rebel Wilson Confirmed for Pitch Perfect 3; 2017 Release Date Set

They’re back, and no one is surprised! Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson will return to the big screen together in the previously announced Pitch Perfect 3. According to The Wrap, the sequel will be released on July 21, 2017. No word yet on whether their co-stars, including stage vets Anna Camp, Skylar Astin and Ben Platt, will make return appearances.

The Pitch Perfect series follows the Barden Bellas, an all-girls a cappella group. The first sequel, which takes the Bellas to an international tournament, was released on May 15 and has grossed approximately $170.7 million as of June 14.

Kendrick has appeared in numerous movie musicals before, including the first two Pitch Perfect films, Into the Woods, The Last Five Years and Camp. But she also has theatrical roots: Kendrick received a Tony nomination at the age of 12 for High Society. Wilson’s additional screen credits include Super Fun Night,What to Expect When You’re Expecting and Bridesmaids.
