Watch Bernadette Peters Discuss Meryl Streep, Returning to Broadway & Writing a Memoir

Broadway icon Bernadette Peters and Oscar and Tony nominee Laura Linney joined Andy Cohen in the Watch What Happens Live Clubhouse on July 8. After taking shots with comedian (and part-time Bernadette Peters impersonator) Cole Escola, Peters spoke of the experience of seeing Meryl Streep in Into the Woods on the big screen (it was “very interesting”). Will she return to the Great White Way? “I never know what’s going to happen. If something is irresistible, I would love to do it.” There's one future project that Peters will consider—writing a memoir. “I always thought I would write it when I could say, ‘And this is what life is about,’” she said. “I don’t think I’ve quite learned it yet." Peters and Linney met at Broadway Barks a few years ago, so imagine Peters’ reaction to Linney saying she’d kill off the dog from Downton Abbey. Check out the clips below!
