First Photo of Benedict Cumberbatch as Hamlet
Deep breaths everyone, we've only been waiting months, nay years, for this. We have our first photo of Olivier winner and Oscar nominee Benedict Cumberbatch as Hamlet. Admittedly, he's just in a striped rehearsal t-shirt and could be doing yoga, but the Sherlock star is also looking very sweet and prince like, no? Directed by Lyndsey Turner, Cumberbatch will begin performances in the Bard's classic at London's Barbican Theatre on August 5. Opening night is set for August 25. A member of the Broadway.com team may or not be counting down the hours before seeing the production.

Watch Brandy's Wiz Audition
It would seem that Brandy Norwood, currently the name on everybody's lips in Broadway's Chicago, has her eye on her next role. On a recent subway ride, the Grammy-winning singer conducted a veritable audition for The Wiz, which will soon be telecast on NBC before heading to the Great White Way. We think Brandy's rendition of "Home" should secure her the part, although her fellow subway riders didn't seem so sure. Check out the fun video below.
