Jonathan Groff's Looking Special Will Bow in 2016
Even HBO’s president is upset that Broadway.com Audience Choice Award winner Jonathan Groff’s HBO series Looking will not be returning for a full season three! “I thought the show, creatively, was really doing something that I hadn’t seen on any other show, particularly dealing with gay lives,” said Michael Lombardo, according to TV Line. However, the good news is, that Lombardo also revealed that the previously reported wrap up movie will be two hours long and is going into production this fall (which we presume Groff will somehow be juggling with Hamilton). The final chapter, which will tie up loose ends from the second season, is scheduled to air in early 2016.

Sophie Okonedo Will Lead BBC America's Undercover
Sophie Okonedo has been tapped for BBC America’s upcoming six-part series Undercover. The Tony winner will play Maya, who is about to become the first Director of Public Prosecutions. Just as her life comes under intense public scrutiny she discovers that her husband (Adrian Lester) has been lying to her for years. Okonedo is in demand—we are expecting her back on Broadway next year headlining Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, helmed by Ivo van Hove.

Dolly Parton's A Christmas Carol Returns
We’re counting our airmiles! Tony nominee Dolly Parton (9 to 5)'s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol is set to once again play a limited engagement at Dollywood. The 45-minute musical will have seven new songs written by the country music icon and be performed at her Tennessee theme park November 7 through January 3. Parton will reprise the role of the Ghost of Christmas past (via cutting-edge holographic technology). We, quite simply, will always love her.

Oona Laurence Fangirled Over Jake Gyllenhaal
Oona Laurence may be an honorary Tony winner, but that didn't mean she wasn't starstruck on meeting her co-star in new family drama Southpaw, Broadway alum and Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal. In a recent interview for GMA, below, the former Matilda star admitted: "It was very cool meeting him. It was a little nerve-wracking because he's like so experienced and he knows so much." Gyllenhaal joked that she just meant "old." Southpaw, where a pumped-up Gyllenhaal plays a boxer in danger of losing his daughter (Laurence), hits movie theaters on July 31.
