Self-Proclaimed 'Doganizer' Bernadette Peters Discusses New Book & Weighs in On Patti LuPone Cell Phone Drama

Broadway’s favorite dog lover Bernadette Peters stopped by the fourth hour of The Today Show on July 31. Of course, she didn’t go alone; joining her were three adorable pups—Palmer, Marty and Russell (all up for adoption!). The Tony winner shared her inspiration for her latest children’s book Stella and Charlie: Friend Forever, and admitted just how strong her love for dogs is: “I understand what a womanizer is because I’m a doganizer.” And for the record, Peters is #TeamPatti: “We’re on stage to make an experience for an audience…if you don’t come in with that expectation, you’re ruining it for everybody.” Turn your phone off and check out the interview below!
