Big Broadway switcheroo! Christopher Denham will replace the previously announced Fran Kranz in China Doll on the Great White Way. Directed by Pam MacKinnon, he’ll star opposite Al Pacino in the new David Mamet play. The two-hander will run for a limited engagement of 97 performances and is set to begin previews on October 21. Opening night is scheduled for November 19 at at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre.
Denham returns to Broadway after appearing in The Lieutenant of Inishmore and "MASTER HAROLD”… and the boys. His additional stage credits include The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin off-Broadway. Denham's film resume includes Argo and Shutter Island.
The show follows Mickey Ross (Pacino), a billionaire who just bought a plane for his fiancé to celebrate his imminent retirement. Just as he’s about to leave the office, he takes one last phone call that could shake things up. Denham will play Ross’ assistant, Carson.
