Here's a quick roundup of stories you may have missed today.
Gyllenhaal's B'way Tuner Dreams
Jake Gyllenhaal wants to return to the Great White Way…as a song and dance man! "I definitely would love to be doing a musical on Broadway in the near future," Gyllenhaal told E! Online. The Oscar nominee recently impressed the Main Stem in Constellations before going on to headline Little Shop of Horrors at Encores! this summer—would he consider reprising his performance in the Alan Menken and Howard Ashman cult classic? "I don't know about that show in particular," he replied. Producers, are you listening?! We'd like him back, please!
Watch Richard Madden & Lily James' Romeo and Juliet
There’s lots of buzz about Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming celeb-packed takeover of the Garrick Theatre in London’s West End, however since it's across the pond, it might be tricky for some to get there. However, never fear, you will be able to see Richard Madden and Lily James in Romeo and Juliet, Judi Dench in The Winter’s Tale and Branagh in The Entertainer, no matter what! Thanks to a partnership with Picturehouse Entertainment, the productions will be broadcast live to U.K. and international movie theaters, kicking off with The Winter’s Tale on November 26.
Lena Hall Will Team Up With Josh Groban on Tour

Michael Riedel's Battle for Broadway
Michael Riedel, whose mischievous reporting over the years as the New York Post’s theater columnist has kept the Broadway community in equal parts enthralled, entertained and on edge, has written a book. We managed to get our mitts on an advance copy and can report that RAZZLE DAZZLE: The Battle for Broadway is a fascinating biography of the Great White Way itself, full of multiple insiders' testimonies. Skeptical? Check out October's just released Vanity Fair, where an excerpt examines the Tony Awards face-off between Dreamgirls and Nine, which makes the Wicked vs. Avenue Q year seem drama free! The book is set to be published by Simon & Schuster on October 6.
