Two-Time Tony Nominee Andy Karl Enlisted to Play Peter Gallagher's Son on Law & Order: SVU

Two-time Tony nominee Andy Karl has been tapped for a recurring role on Law & Order: SVU! According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Broadway favorite will play Sergeant Mike Dodds in the NBC Drama. You can expect to see him on your screens from October.

Karl will be appearing as the son of Deputy Chief William Dodds, who is played by none other than his recent On the Twentieth Century co-star Peter Gallagher! Apparently William assigns Mike to the SVU squad and complications ensue. We now just need Kristin Chenoweth to turn up for a cameo!

Karl received Tony nods for On the Twentieth Century and Rocky. His other Broadway credits include The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 9 to 5, Legally Blonde, Jersey Boys, Wicked and Saturday Night Fever. His film and TV appearances include Joyful Noise, New York I Love You and the 2007 broadcast of Legally Blonde: The Musical.
