Three decades ago Les Miserables dreamed a dream and on October 8 the long-running tuner turns 30 in London! Frances Ruffelle, who originated the role of Éponine both in the U.K. and on Broadway (where she took home the Tony), has re-recorded her classic number from the show, "On My Own," in celebration of the milestone. "The song was worked on and rewritten many times especially for my voice," says Ruffelle, who feels that "this new version is a lovely fun way to celebrate the 30th anniversary." Check out the video below, and to all those involved with Les Miz, we here at Broadway.com wish you many happy returns!
