David Bowie's Lazarus is already a hit! The off-Broadway production, which will begin previews on November 18 and officially open on December 7, has extended three weeks and will now play through January 17, 2016 at New York Theatre Workshop. Directed by A View From the Bridge's Ivo van Hove and created by Bowie and Once book writer Enda Walsh, the show will star Michael C. Hall. Cristin Milioti, Michael Esper and more.
Inspired by Walter Tevis’ 1963 novel The Man Who Fell to Earth, Lazarus follows Thomas Newton (Hall), the alcoholic alien-turned-inventor portrayed by Bowie in the 1976 screen adaptation. The show will feature original tunes by Bowie, as well as new arrangements of his known hits.
The cast will also include Krystina Alabado, Sophia Anne Caruso, Nicholas Christopher, Lynn Craig, Bobby Moreno, Krista Pioppi, Charlie Pollock and Brynn Williams.
